WP:INDISCRIMINATE collection of temperature records. No WP:LASTING effects: people turned up the air conditioning, increasing electricity demand, and an old sheep died. Yawn. The real heat wave in that region happened a few months earlier: Early 2009 southeastern Australia heat wave. The late 2009 temperatures do not deserve a separate article. — JFG talk 20:35, 23 July 2018 (UTC)

- Delete. Doesn't pass the general criteria for being a severe heatwave as opposed to standard non-notable ones that still break records occasionally and kill the ill and elderly. Looks like a pretty standard heatwave. Kingofaces43 (talk) 20:15, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete — I would argue that the sheep is more notable than the weather! The inpact was pretty standard; none of what was reported had lasting significance. There is a distinct lack of sources outside routine weather reports so—unless this is revisited by academics in the future—as of now this is what Wikpedia is not.TheGracefulSlick (talk) 05:44, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
