The Mod Appreciation Thread

Ok, I was originally thinking of a poll but there are 11 mods and 10 polling options so it wouldn't be fair. Then I thought of doing a "Mod of the Month" type of thread but I wanted to see if this meshes well first. So here's the deal! Vote for your favorite mods and leave a brief note as to why they are the diggity bomb in your book!

When this thread hits 100 posts we can reasses based on your comments as to whether or not we wanna make this a regular thing!

So: Who's it gonna be: Freeones , Aces&Jacks , BNF , comanduc , darkman , Marie , pitino , Roald , Seraphim , zoechs or AFA???

My votes go to BNF & Seraphim for being available, level-headed and cheeky!

LOL If you expect to get honest answers to this, you're high on something. LOL Most people aren't going to name their fave mods because they might hurt the feelings of the other mods (see the 2 replies above - that's what you're gonna get). :eek: :crying:

Besides, some mods work in some areas of the board, some on all areas of the board, and some don't log in very often at all but rather serve other purposes on the board, like promo, etc.

I also agree. The mods do a good job and they have my respect. I can't name two. Sorry Baal.

It's a difficult choice. Each one is better than the other.

But 2 = 1+1 = 1 1 = 11

I think we are all different individuals with different qualities, but most importantly we are all on the same sheet of music.

When I was a Member I Respected BNF's ability to stay calm and collected in even the most heated flame fests.

Another Mod I looked up to was Comanduc. A silent, but strong Mod. When he spoke you can bet it had a purpose.

I just hope to be like them when I grow up... Maybe take the name BNco

It's not like this board to be PC about things...

None of the mods are in this line of work as a popularity contest. I think that now we have a well rounded group of like-minded mods. It is, I think, an enormous compliment to all of us and to (most) of you that this thread can even exisit and work.


darkman and I joined days apart, and for almost a year, we ran within 10-15 posts of each other. Then, surely none of you remember this, I left the board for 2 months... and returned as a mod. So, darkman, I've always considered my oldest friend on the board.

Seraphim and I are probably the closest.

Aces&Jacks is my razor straight reliable mod.

comanduc is the one guy that gets me thinking about things in a new way.

Marie.....well, Marie and I have a special relationship...

pitino is my alter ego in a way, because we never cross paths in the same babe threads, and that saves me enourmous time.

zoechs is the man.

AFA, AFAIK, BTW, He will do a great job for us in FYFB + ID, lol ROTFL. BNF

How can I put this....In every company you have the window people, the people you see. But behind them in the darker area behind them you don't often see is people working just as hard and doing as good if not better job. FreeOnes mod team is the same as that. A lot of members attach themselves to BNF, Seraphim , Aces&Jacks and Pitino, because their very active in the shop window. But then you get the others like Comanduc who works more behind the scenes, so some members often newer ones don't know him. But if you reasearch a little will find that Comanduc does post some very interesting posts. Plus always congratulates members on birthday's and milestones etc they past. In fact if you do some research into them you'll see what each does and know why this is the best message board on the net. AFA is new and if he does the job like he did as a member in the FYFB & ID section as mod, he'll prove just as good.

So if this thread doesn't tell the whole story as you only get people picking out the shop window mods. But what you have to remember is they get help from all the other mods, hence the term we call them by "Mod Squad". It takes the whole mod squad to make the board what it is and so I vote....

I like Seraphims style in avatars and sigs but as mod they all kick ass
